Gronkowski was drafted by the New England Patriots in the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft. That year, in a victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, Gronkowski caught three touchdown passes from Brady, becoming the first rookie in Patriots history – and the youngest rookie in NFL history – to accomplish the feat. He was nominated three times for Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week. In 2011, Gronkowski scored his first touchdown of the season in the Patriots’ Week 1 victory over the Miami Dolphins. Gronkowski caught 6 passes for 86 yards and one touchdown as Brady threw for a franchise record 517 yards. He also scored two more touchdowns against the Jets along with 144 receiving yards.

Sergio Brown, Safety

Sergio Brown was signed by the Patriots as a rookie free agent in 2010. After spending the first six weeks of the season on the practice squad, Brown was promoted to the 53-man roster on October 23, 2010. He made his NFL debut the next day against the San Diego Chargers, recording four tackles in the game. In the 2011 season, Brown became the starting Strong Safety for the season opener. In his first game he recorded 6 tackles. Brown recorded his first career interception against the Chargers in the second game of the season.

As a senior at Montana State, Fletcher was named team captain and finished the season with 67 tackles, seven sacks, and two blocked kicks, earning first-team All-Big Sky honors as well as being named the Big Sky Defensive MVP. He was also named as a finalist for the Buck Buchanon Award which is given to the top defensive player in NCAA Division I FCS. Dane Fletcher was signed by the Patriots as a rookie free agent on April 29, 2010, and finished his 2010 rookie season with 23 tackles and two sacks in 13 games played, all as a reserve.

Meredith grew up in Columbus, Ohio where she was a 4-sport athlete and was inducted into her high school’s Athletic Hall of Fame. Since her first Ironman competition in 2000, Meredith has competed in over 35 full Ironman races all over the United States. She was undefeated in her 2009 season having been the 1st place amateur woman in every race. In November 2010, Meredith turned professional and in her first season as a rookie pro, she won Ironman Canada and placed 2nd in both Ironman St. George and Ironman Coeur D’Alene.

Laurent Robinson was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the third round of the 2007 NFL Draft. While at Illinois State, Robinson accumulated 192 career receptions (a school record) while contributing with 3,007 yards and 29 touchdowns. He was also a finalist for the Walter Payton Award, given to the top offensive player in NCAA Division I-AA. He is currently a wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys after brief stints with the Atlanta Falcons and St Louis Rams.

Michael Hoomanawanui, Tight End

At the University of Illinois, he earned honorable mention All-Big Ten honors by both the media and coaches. Michael Hoomanawanui was drafted by the Rams in 2010 and placed fifth for most touchdown receptions by a rookie tight end.

Vontae Davis, Cornerback

At the University of Illinois, Davis recorded 30 tackles and intercepted one pass in his freshman year. He was named to the Freshman All-America first teams by The Sporting News, Scout.com and Rivals.com and was also the Illini’s Rookie of the Year. In 2009, Davis was signed by the Miami Dolphins. Davis recorded his first career interception that season, returning it 23 yards for a touchdown. Davis finished his rookie season with 53 tackles, four interceptions, and 11 pass deflections. Pro Football Weekly selected him on its annual All-Rookie team.
